Sally Rutledge Moore is a native Texan with old and deep Southern roots.Born in Dallas to a father who wrote for the Dallas Morning News and genealogist mother, she quickly developed a love of words, history, and detailed storytelling.

Sally earned her degree in journalism from Baylor University. After raising her three daughters, Moore built a multi-pronged career not only as a successful artist and muralist but also as a news reporter, investigative journalist, ghostwriter and Christian blogger. Fever Season is her first offering in the historic fiction genre.

Sally currently resides and writes in Vail, Arizona, when not on the road researching her next story.
